The world of humanity has two wings

New Delhi is a big city. Almost too big for young girls (some would like to say women, but we stick with girls for at least ten more years) like us. Luckily we are quite smart, so we always come up with good solutions. The latest in the book of our holy rules is this: If we get away from each other, STAND STILL, and wait to be found. (hopefully one of us will realize she has to go look for the other one, but who knows.. ) Today at Connaught Place, Lina got lost.

There we go! good girl, she did as she was told.

The main attraction of the day was the "Lotus Tempel, the Bahai House of Worship". Asia`s gathering point for the Baha religion. This was actually quite powerful stuff, and so much of their believes made perfect sence to us!

As noticed earlier our behavior attracts a lot of attention, and once again we had to pose as superstars

This is not even a joke. Several times we have been asked to pose in pictures with locals. Apparently they associate us with, the only white people they have ever seen, models and actors. Need I say that we don't mind the attention?

The next stop of the day was in a Hare Krishna temple. No filming allowed, but Lina´s paparazzi genes took over and she had to try.

We wanted to top a good day with some good food, and of course that had to be traditional indian food.

We ate way to much.. again…

But Ranveigs motherly instincts never fail. If you finish your food you get rewarded.

wow! we found a crocks store! there went the budget for this week.

The simple things

Another day, and we were still not prepared for the heat that struck us when we left the appartment. The feeling of walking out of a chilled room, when the outside feels quite simular to a heated swimmingarena, is somewhat less comfortable. The answer to this problem?

TukTuks! Not really safe but very (!) good aircondition

Today we decided out we wanted to go on a tuktuk sightseeing tour. The first driver we stopped was more than happy to help us out, and we headed for the biggest tourist attractions in Delhi. Half way there our little green and yellow vehicle stopped! We pulled over and while the driver was on the phone trying to get help, the responsible Ranveig took charge of the situation.

She tried to fix it her self - The Indian Way!

Unfortunatley, no result

So she tried the good old Norwegian way

Despite all her efforts we didnt get the Tuk going, and had to wait for the driver to do what was actually his job. When he finally got it moving and he turned away, Lina jumped in and hijacked his superfly ride!

She realized soon she couldn´t drive it, and soon we were all back in our rightful seats.

Then we finally reached our first destination: house of parlament, the presidents house, congress (you can guess the rest, we dont remember)

On the way home, we bought ice cream! nam, nam!

But soon we were told we couldn´t eat it, because it was local, and made with bad water which would mean FOOD POISONING. eeeh, no thanks. So we gave it away to a kid sitting in the street.

Since every problem got a solution, Ranveig amazed with her organisation skills once again and brought us to THE ice cream store: Haagen Dass!

At home later that day, we wanted to explore the notorious roof terrasse, but 50 moskitobites later we were wondering if we should have stayed in.

Then it all began

Our journey could have started in a very tragic way. Our "Senior PR Supervisor" misread the plane tickets, so the plan was to leave Oslo at 8pm to catch the connecting flight. The day before departure she notised, purely by accident, that our plane to India would leave 1 hour before we were scheduled to land. Close call!

Anyways, we got on the plane and we were officially on our way.

We got some food...

..and some sleep.

Clearly we advanced from our last trip!

The only problem the whole day was the tiny, tiinyy issue about the airport not having working cash machines. Inventive as we are, we managed to scrape up enough change to exchange into some Indian rupies. After 3 hours on the airport we were finally in a cab on our way into central Delhi.

The traffic was absolutely horrific! 7 rows of cars in a 4 lane road. Every car use its horn every 2 minutes. The only rule is, if there is a gap, you go for it! You would never imagine! It`s safe to say, we wont be driving in India.

Different ways to kill time

We are hoping to do some videoblogging while we are traveling, not just photos and boring texts.

This is our first movie, we made it to our last couchsurfing guests. But also for testing our new hand videocamera. And now we really looking forward to make some awesome movies of us around in Asia.

Its only 3 weeks to departure to New Delhi, India. Cant wait! Guess we have to do some juggeling to kill the waiting time! :)

We did not manage to juggle alone, so we decided to try it together, this movie is made after 1 hour practice. We hope to get better before we start our journey, cause just imagine, 2 girls sitting on a bench in Thailand, Juggling while they are waiting for the bus. Who knows, Maybe we can make some money out of it? ;)
